About Anchor Pepper Sauce

Our Story

Anchor Hot Sauce was born from a deep legacy of craftsmanship, resilience, and the fearless pursuit of flavor.


In the 1960s, my family immigrated from Hong Kong to Jamaica, chasing new opportunities and new beginnings. In the mountains outside Montego Bay, in a small town called Clark’s Town, Trelawny, they built Anchor Bread Bakery — a name that would come to symbolize strength, hard work, and community.


At Anchor Bakery, they didn’t just bake bread. They also crafted vibrant, fiery Scotch Bonnet pepper sauces, using the rich local ingredients and flavors of their new Caribbean home. Their sauce became a staple — bold, fresh, unforgettable.


Years later, as a first-generation American and a proud disabled veteran, I decided it was time to carry that legacy forward.

I’ve taken the spirit of the original Anchor recipes, adapted and refined them, and created a new chapter: Anchor Hot Sauce — a tribute to my family’s journey, their craftsmanship, and their fearless spirit.


Every bottle we make is a link between generations, cultures, and traditions — a handcrafted celebration of boldness, perseverance, and flavor that refuses to be forgotten.

Our Mission

At Anchor Pepper Sauce, our mission is to craft bold, authentic flavors that honor a legacy of resilience, adventure, and craftsmanship.  We believe great flavor should never be ordinary — it should be an experience. That’s why every bottle of Anchor Pepper Sauce is made with real Scotch Bonnet heat, small-batch care, and the spirit to Hold Fast through every storm.
Our mission is simple:

We never use artificial colors, synthetic thickeners, or anything that doesn’t belong in real food.

Every batch of Depth Charge is crafted using:


  • Fresh Scotch Bonnet Peppers – Known for their vibrant, fruity heat and unmistakable Caribbean punch.
  • Golden Brown Sugar – Adds a subtle molasses sweetness that balances the fire.
  • Pure Vinegar – For the perfect tang and to preserve boldness in every drop.
  • Natural Sea Salt – Enhances the deep, savory notes of our handcrafted blend.
  • Real Honey – A touch of natural sweetness to round out the heat.
  • Fresh Vegetables – Including onion, carrot, and garlic for layers of rich flavor.
  • Signature Spices and Herbs – Our own Caribbean-inspired mix, crafted to amplify every dish.
